Classic Motor Cars wins restoration award for E-Type

A Shropshire company, which took 7,000 hours to restore what is now recognised as the one of the most famous E-Type Jaguar’s in the world, has been awarded “Restoration of the Year” at the Octane International Historic Motoring awards in London.
A team of craftsmen at Classic Motor Cars(CMC) in Bridgnorth brought the car back to life from a mangled wreck and were able to save 90% of the original car.
“It was a real labour of love,” said Nick Goldthorp, managing director of CMC, who are based in Bridgnorth. “It proves that British craftsmanship and dedication is alive and well.”
